my story
Claudio is a Chilean born artist and tattoo artist currently residing in Chicago. He began learning the art of tattooing in 2007 while studying architectural drawing. Initially attracted to tattooing by the striking designs, the alternative punk rock aesthetic they represented, and with uncertainty of continuing with his studies, Claudio made the decision to abandon his collegiate studies and dedicate himself to tattooing. In 2010, Claudio began tattooing professionally in Santiago, Chile, and in 2013 he traveled to Brazil for his first international tattoo convention with the intention of learning from other artists. Following that experience, Claudio began to travel around Chile to participate in conventions, meeting more artists and learning more about tattooing. In 2017 and 2018 he participated in the La Plata tattoo convention in Argentina. In 2018, Claudio permanently moved to Chicago to work at Chicago Ink. In 2021, he began taking classes at Atelier Eftimov studio sporadically, studying figure drawing. In 2022, Claudio began to attend the art studio regularly with the intention of expanding his knowledge about art, composition, painting, and being able to apply the knowledge to tattooing. As of 2026, Claudio is a resident artist at Fudo Tattoo in Chicago.
My Approach
My main focus is to create compositions where i can combine my knowledge, experience, technique, and personal vision in every piece. My goal is to deliver a clean, professional design while making the most of the tools and techniques available to.My favorite styles to work with are well-saturated blackout, solid black, and black and grey, whit a strong emphasis on contrast, depth, and saturation. I really enjoy working whit deep, solid blacks and carefully controlled shadows, always with the intention of creating tattoos that look clean, strong, and well-defined for years to come.
